Bringing standards to the semantic web
Kweri is helping NEN to change the way we use standards. Part of this is to share existing classification schemes, taxonomies and thesauri as
a. machine-readable interlinked data on the Web
b. free to be used and distributed by anyone
One example of such a classification system is the International Classification for Standards (ICS) which serves as a structure for catalogues of international, regional and national standards. Until now the main format was PDF. Well not anymore.
Other examples are a thesaurus containing all of the terms and definitions used in NEN standards.
